Dragon

As I was walking down the street,
I saw a dragon curled about my feet.
It was tiny with eyes of emerald green.
 And for a scaly dragon,
he doesn't look real mean.

I could never take him home,
my parents would be mad,
that is until, I heard it's belly rumbling
( Which of course, was rather sad)
And so I took it home.
No one wants to be alone.
Then I knew we had to keep him,
because I saw what he had eaten.

He is a very cute fellow, we love him 'cause he roasts marshmallows.

Emotional Support Ladybug

I woke up to find 29 deaths, and one to come. You may be thinking so what erasers are not living things. I know but they meant something to me, these little one inch erasers are more then just erasers. I went out in the backyard to find a small bug. I then had a conversation with it. "You know sometimes I wonder, maybe you bugs and other creatures of the world could be just as grand as we are, but know that if you little guys would do so, you would have so much to lose just like us humans do, but you stay like this, so that you have nothing to lose, when we have the world on the edge of a knife. Just life dose not work out the way we want it to we may have are time and be greater then little creatures like you but there will always be an extinction event, the hunter will become the hunted over, and over, and over again. we may think their still is hope in this world, but the darkness, like wind against a candle will blow it out. But little ladybug, because of this we are stronger then any other creature on earth. We may have greed, but this is not as bad as you think, for it has risen us up. no force in the universe has as much strength as emotions, so please have one, anyone of them but sadness. This is why kids are so powerful, because they have not lost anything, but still have something to lose. we need a savior one with a heart of gold. A kid to make the world how it is on cartoons. And with that I end this speech."

The Curse of Yin

The Curse of Yin

It was a good life, sitting in The Valley of Peace; the smell of jasmine and oolong soaring through the air, perfuming the entire valley until that tea was finished and the citizens of the town moved on to the next tea.

This is where The Great Spirit looms, and only those with a powerful soul may meet it.  I decided to walk up to The Pond of Yin-Yang where the Great Spirit lives, in its matter form, The Soul Stone. I went up to the pond, and there it was, far above the valley: a pool so beautiful that you could stare at it for days!
The dazzle illuminating from it was like a sky filled with golden stars. The pool smelled and felt  just as wonderful. The smell of honey and the great emerald bees’ sugary drinks spread around the pond. The bees patrolled through the luscious fields filled with shiny yellow flowers, spangled across the pond. And the sound, oh the beautiful wonderful sound, so tranquil you could drop down asleep on the spot and stay there for days! I myself was about to do so.

Now I look farther, and there through the spark-covered water, I see two coy fish. One black with white eyes, and one white with black eyes. These were Yin and Yang, the two great fish and halves of the Great Spirit, skimming gracefully around the pond.

Finally, in the center of the pond lay the Soul Stone. It sat in a marble pedestal. Even compared to the pond it was the most glorious thing ever. The jewel shined a ghostly blue, with a luminous spark of light. This was the ruler of balance. This was the king of kings. This was the orb that ruled over all things. I sighed, wishing I could speak to the Great Spirit.

As I was starting to walk away, I tripped on a nearby river rock and fell into the pond! At that time Yin swam toward me, and I panicked to the extent where I was about to drown. Then I felt something come over me. It felt shivering and almost like the gale, and poison of nightshade. It spread through me, cooling my blood. I felt a piercing sting infest my body, and then my blood started to boil like a cauldron on a black fire, the pain making my skin twitch and wriggle. My feet and hands started to drop. Then my legs and arms, the twitching intensely powering up. Soon my body felt it, then my head. Centipedes swarmed out of my blood veins; crawling and biting the inside of my skin. My body seemed to turn red from the blood opening inside it. One-foot gashes appeared on my skin, and the centipedes crawled out of my veins, and onto my body. All of my organs were ripped apart. The bloody remains of my body started to turn black. A mouth of a giant skeletal serpent started to swallow me. I could only see darkness.

I was heading to the underworld. When a gleaming silver light showed itself to my eyes, I swam out from the depths of the water through the silver ball of light, when I finally entered the surface of the earth. I was thrown out of the ball of energy that saved my life, onto a boat, willow by the look of it..

The Fearful Boy

There was a young boy who feared,
That his mother might grow a great beard,
this is ridiculous,
his mom was meticulous,
as his mother was bioengineered.

Keegan's Be You

Why be normal when you can be you?

Why be blue when you can be any color you choose?

Why sit when you can stand?

Why not turn that frown upside down?

Why be normal when you can be you?

An Evening Full of Flowers

It doesn't get much better-
Flowers on a warm spring evening,
when the sun shines down on your face,
and makes you want to live for ever.

Against the diamond blue sky,
When purple lilacs bloom like balloons hanging from a bush,
pick one-just one- hanging above your head.
Then make a wish.

There is so much to ask for-
a hundred little blossoms,
one small gem,
or a friend to chat with.

Yet all you’ll wish for
is another spring day,
 just like this one
and one more evening full of flowers.

The Dancing Fox

Silver in the moonlight,
it danced upon the ground.
It's dancing little fox feet
could never make a sound.

The only time She comes here
is when the moon is full and bright.
You'll only ever see Her
in the middle of the night.

Her fur is of pure silver,
Her eyes a crystal blue.
And when the time was one o' clock,
into the moon She flew.

Ashes To Ashes

There's something familiar about this place. Something strange and forbidden. Something I don't like. The vision of something I have been at long ago flashes across my memory, but it's not the way I see it now in front of my eyes. What I see is dead. The vines hanging grey  and limp at its sides. Not the castle of love I remember. It is dreary and weak. Haunted. Heartbroken. Yet solid. It is definitely there. I'm not dreaming. This land of peace is broken. Destroyed. Gone. A single candle glows within the gates, my last hope, the last sign of life. As I approach it, it flickers and burns out. My cold stare has killed it. It's just a dream. It's just a dream. It's just a dream. This is not a dream. This is real. I can't avoid it. I walk towards the stone walls with caution. A suit of armor stands where the guard should be. Rusted and black, it stands just like someone were inhabiting it, but it looks as though someone has hollowed it out. No face. Nothing. I stagger inside and look around. The pictures are free of people. Free of animals. Only the empty curtains stand behind where the faces should be. The fireplace has survived the storm of evil, but covered in dust. It looks like no one has lit a fire there for a thousand years. The glass in the windows is cracked and the drops of rain from outside are dripping in. Soaked and encrusted with mud, the red carpet still lies perfectly straight. It hasn’t moved. My eyes wander to the thrones. Where my mother used to sit is now a black, helpless stool  and where my father rested is simply a cracked stone. Their crowns still lie there though. Looking the same. Shiny and golden. Nothing has dared to touch them.

The Orphan Fox

  Chapter One
                                       The Orphan Fox

It was February in the northern alpine mountain range, Airnispanuki. Snow covered the towering peaks and frosted the magical silver woods. Boreal forests of white fir covered the land. Aspens started blooming green again. Great horned owls soared through the mountains, and rested on branches of trees. Foxes scampered and scrambled searching for grouse, pigeon, and the occasional turkey. Wolf packs ran down deer and sheep herds. Elk cried their beautiful high tune as if talking to the gods. This was Airnspanuki in the cross-month of February and March.

Bears were not the only ones to be cleaning up from hibernation. A little fox cub about five days old was curled in a fort of snow, after his mother died from being trampled by buffalo! The orphan fox opened his eyes by a few millimeters. The evening sun showed its light to the baby when he fully opened his eyes for the first time in his life. Struggling to climb up, the little fox raised his two tiny front paws up the one-foot tall hole. He finally scrambled up the hole after waving his paws frantically to find his way out. He scouted around at the scenery,  his head and two paws poking up from one of many much bigger holes around the mountain. The fox with trouble raised the rest of his body up.

He fell down, with a slight "warf", which, even though I don't know canine tongue, assume he asked, "Ow that hurt! Why did you do that you stupid snow?" He tried again, and again, and yet again, and so on, and after the fifteenth time he voyaged up. The fox started puppy-walking east from the mountain he was on, Mount Bisson, the second most mountain to the north. But If you were to go to this mountain and not know where it is on Airnispanuki, you would think it’s in the north pole, near the Taiga.

After he traveled about two kilometers, like an angry lion, his stomach began to roar horribly. He did not know what to do with this lion in his stomach. The fox saw a bush with weird red things on it, and decided to place one in his mouth.

"You could 'taste' this red thing," the fox realized, and the roar seemed slightly saturated. Eventually, after the fox ate more berries, he became tired. Afterwards he had an unusually large body.

A Spring Day

It doesn't get much better-
drawing on a warm-quiet day,
when the cool May air rustles the leaves
and makes you want to live forever.

Against the white page,
when glossy apples
fall like snow from the trees,
reach out and pick a pencil
before the apple moves.
Then make a wish

There is so much to ask for-
a stunning stallion,
a grass green emerald,
or a blood red ruby.

Yet all you'll wish for
is another spring day,
just like this one,
and one more
pocketful of pencils.

Blossom

A life. We hear about a death on the news and think "How sad". A loved one passes away and we are destroyed. How is any one life different from another?

A life is like a cherry blossom tree. They bloom and they die. When they do, someone will ask "What color was its bark?" and no one will know for certain. The cherry blossom tree is gone. But we know it was here.

The cherry blossoms bloom for only a few days. Their lives, like ours, are short. But the only thing that's important, is how beautifully you bloom.  You will change many lives and you will leave many marks.

Only
you
can
make
yourself
a
beautiful
 BLOSSOM.

Cat

A cat is someone special, so furry and so kind.
Their warm fluff is so snuggley and
that's what's on my mind.

Their eyes can be like lemons,
yellow beyond compare.
Their eyes can be like emeralds,
like some fancy people wear.

Cats do lots of sleeping,
it takes up lots of time,
and in the poems I have read,
they're all supposed to rhyme.

Cats have little whiskers,
tails and noses to,
and they like to "meatloaf",
but not like the kind that's food.

Thoughts

WARNING: THESE ARE DEEP, POSSIBLY ANGERING THOUGHTS. IF YOU ARE IN THE MOOD FOR SOMETHING HAPPIER,PLEASE READ MY POEM FLOWER, OR YOU COULD READ KIWI, OR POSSIBLY EVEN WINGS. HOWEVER,THESE THOUGHTS MAKE A GOOD POINT, AND COULD BE POTENTIALLY LIFE CHANGING (IN A GOOD WAY) SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, THOUGHTS...

...Like dropping rose petals down a well, waiting for the splash. But rose petals don't splash. They never will. I suppose that is kind of like life. We expect to be doing something, to get something, to go somewhere in life. But maybe we are all just running on a treadmill. It way feel as though we are running somewhere, moving, but really we are all running in place.

At the start of my school year, I was told to write a paper on what education meant to me. After thinking for quite some time, I found that education was life. Everyday you learn something new, experiment, get lectured, get punished and rewarded. Then, I thought "Wait, so is this question asking me what the meaning of life is?"

I have many theories, but I only want to present one (for now). What if life is a game. What if our souls decide "Hey, you, want to create a character for yourself and play a game?" Maybe all of the people who die say "I don't like this game anymore, it's not fun" or maybe they just rolled the dice wrong and they're "out".  Maybe right now you're saying "How do you know? You're only twelve! You can't  possibly..." and so on and so on. The answer to "How do you know?" is "I don't".
And I don't ask you to believe me. I just simply want to put it out there. There, I said it. Done. Fin.

But anyways, I thought if I told you my reasoning, you might agree with my logic. So if you think about it, what is the point? You are born, you grow, you grow more, you go to school for around eighteen years, (if you include the time it takes to do homework to (yes that does take a year or two) you get a job, you work until you retire, all the while you make choices, and for your reward: You die.
So, to me, it seems like life is a game. You make choices, you take turns, and still the game must end. It always has to end. It will always end the same way. Whether you are rich or poor, happy or sad, old or young. It all seems so pointless.

But don't go throw yourself off a bridge. I'm simply saying we need to make a change in our society. We as humans are powerful! We can chose our own path, our own road, our own destiny! We Don't Have To Follow The Grain! In fact, go AGAINST the grain! But even so, there are too many questions left to answer, too many "maybe"s in this world. So instead let's just know that we are here. Only YOU can chose what you do with your life! After all, it is yours, isn't it?

LOGAN & RIO

Rio is a yellow lab. He loves to go to King's Deer Golf Club with my dad every day. He lives in my bedroom and tries to eat my pet lizard when I am not at the house. Rio and I  have a really great bonding relationship with each other.

Flower

I am hiding.
I don't want to go outside.
I am alone.
My only friends are worms.
I drink sweet warmth on sunny days,
I feel cool earth beneath my feet,
and still....I am not happy.

I am done being curled up!
Why should I stay inside?
I won't!
The air is warming up!
I strech and yawn.
I breath for the first time.
I choke on the fresh air.
I am small, this world is big.
The air is still too cold to bare,
I wrap myself in leaves long gone,
and wait 'till Winter's end.

I am taller,
I have grown.
I have left my leafy home.
The air is warm the sun is bright!
My face can feel the sunny light!

I am all grown up.
I am big
and I am strong.
I reach my arms up to the fading sun.
The time is right,
the seeds are sown.

Now, 'tis Autumn.
Time to rest.

The Winter's cold,
and I am frail.
I won't last another day.
My child leaves my legacy.

I won't last another hour.
This is my story.
I am a Flower.

Kiwi

Do you remember? I do. I sat in a forest in New Zealand.
The sun was in my eyes.
And then a creature approached me,
and to my surprise,
I saw a little bird thing,
 pecking at the ground.
It pulled up little worms and squirming beetles to.
Then it looked up at me as if asking "What are you?".
I named it Little Kiwi and we became the best of friends.
I named it Little Kiwi and that's where this story ends.

Wings

To have wings, to sail through the clouds, what a gift! The birds are lucky, the butterflies are free. They soar on graceful wings, gently fluttering on the breeze.

But I am more like a flying fish. It seems like they playfully glide, but really? They are leaping out of their watery world just to catch a breath of air. They dream to fly! But then they realize they have fins. They cannot fly, even if they wanted to (and believe me, they do).

But there is always HOPE. What stops a dream from becoming real? Whatever it is those fish will catch it. And when they do, they will FLY!

Shadow Girl

She is the masked figure behind your emotion.
She is the burn you get from a scorching hot oven,
She is the cool, clean water you run over your singed flesh.
She could be your lover, she could be a hater.
She reads you like a book and tries to rewrite you in someone new, but comes running back because she hasn't memorized you completely yet.
She is an angel, a devil.
She watches you from the shadows, your best friend, your worst enemy.
She knows all your secrets, all your lies. You know her, don’t you? Think. You know her.

Just Be You

Wake up and smell the roses. Feel new and awake. There is nothing better than feeling free, wild, happy. But the most important thing is to feel the opposite like dark, evil, lonely, afraid. You can feel like there is fire burning inside. But  an icy feeling fighting  your anger. Just be your self. Stop Fighting That.

Minecraft

Block after block
Stone after stone
Is it day? Is it night?
Maybe I should craft a clock
When I find Redstone
I hear a groan
An unearthly moan
I whip around to see
A bunch of zombies chasing me
And...
Diamonds!!!
I draw my sword and slay the zombies
Suddenly a creeper pops up

My Suit

My Suit

I am speeding through the streets.
http://www.tonywingsuits.com/images/22.jpgNothing can stop me.
I am flying.
I keep going up and up.
Higher and higher.
Never stopping.
Never slowing.
Always speeding up.
I go into a dive.
Lower and lower.
I am about to be a spot on the sidewalk.
I pull up at the last minute.
I feel great!
I feel FREE!
