A cat is someone special, so furry and so kind.
Their warm fluff is so snuggley and
that's what's on my mind.
Their eyes can be like lemons,
yellow beyond compare.
Their eyes can be like emeralds,
like some fancy people wear.
Cats do lots of sleeping,
it takes up lots of time,
and in the poems I have read,
they're all supposed to rhyme.
Cats have little whiskers,
tails and noses to,
and they like to "meatloaf",
but not like the kind that's food.
Such a happy, cat-ish poem! Thank you for sharing. xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteOf course I'm not surprised you wrote about cats, Ahna, as you are the Queen of Cats. I enjoyed reading your work...was "purrrfect"!!
ReplyDeleteI love cats and your poem! Such cool images as well. Although I don't know what meatloaf is if it isn't food. :) Nice going.

ReplyDelete"meatloafing" is when a cat tucks it's paws and legs underneath it's body and becomes small enough to fit in a meatloaf pan
DeleteLovely description, now I want my cat.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of cats at the end are so ADORABLE!!!!! But I especially like the part when you say "and they like to "meatloaf",
ReplyDeletebut not like the kind that's food." I laughed (not rudely) at that because it's funny!
